Been watching over your relentless troubles
But no more
I'm a free man now, I'm walking free
I'm happy now
Been a long time since I've felt like this
Been a long time since I've freed my wings
That's right
You're in the past, no longer present
You'll never make me sad again
No more
One morning I woke up, I knew something wasn't right
Now I know that it was you but don't you worry,
I'm so glad
Baby, you're no more my baby girl
It's so much better now that you've gone
Thank you for leaving me
Darling you can make me so mad
Californian songwriter Niko Jalauzidis’ group scored this spring with their debut single Shelter Love, which led them to victory in Radio Wave’s Starter contest.
Before viewers and listeners voted Silver Springs to the top of the chart and summer festival lineups, they were assessed by one of Starter’s many jurors, Aid Kid: “Even though they are a guitar band, they primarily make great pop songs. That’s a good base to build on.”
Jalauzidis & co. don’t rest on their laurels. Their first EP Limbo will meet its successor Oceans this fall, preceded now by the new single No More. Genre wise we are seeing an untraditional step - while the break-through track Shelter Love hit hard with buoyant indie-rock, the new track finds its inspirations in pop and R’n’B. A perfect track for sleepy summer evenings.
“No More is a bit of an experiment - it first started as an ambient electronic song.” Jalauzidis reveals. “It sounds different from our older stuff - more current. It’s a sound we want to develop further.”
The single was again recorded in Liberec’s Resound studio under the wing and production of Martin Havlen (Lenny, ROLE, Aid Kid, Deti mezzo reprakama). It’s being released along with three remixes done by other Starter contestants: Zagami Jericho, Kyofu and Thrown.

Vypadá to, že o statusu Silver Springs coby jedné z nejžhavějších nových kapel roku už nemá cenu pochybovat. Parta kolem kalifornského písničkáře Nika Jalauzidise, rozkročená mezi Prahou a Libercem, zabodovala na jaře hned prvním singlem Shelter Love, který jí čerstvě vynesl vítězství v soutěži Startér Radia Wave.
"Přestože je to kytarovka, primárně dělají skvělé popové songy. To je dobrý základ, na kterém stavět," ohodnotil Silver Springs porotce Aid Kid, než je divácké hlasování vystřelilo na první příčku a pódia
letních festivalů.
Jalauzidis & spol. ale neusínají na vavřínech. Jejich první EP Limbo se ještě letos na podzim dočká následovníka Oceans, kterého předznamenává nový singl No More. Jde o trochu netradiční stylový
úkrok – zatímco průlomová Shelter Love bodovala svěžím indie rockem, nová skladba loví inspiraci spíše v popových a R'n'B vodách. Ideální soundtrack pro ospalé letní podvečery.
"No More je trochu experiment, který původně vznikl jako elektronický ambientní song," odkrývá Jalauzidis. "Zní to jinak než naše starší věci, aktuálněji. Toto je zvuk, který chceme dále rozvíjet."
Singl byl opět nahrán v libereckém studiu Resound pod taktovkou Martina Havlena (Lenny, ROLE, Aid Kid, Děti mezi reprákama), který pomáhal i s produkcí. Kapela jej vydává společně se třemi remixy, o něž se postarali jiní soutěžící ze Startéru: Zagami Jericho, Kyófú a Thrown.
